Da Daa!

Since I lasted posted we have had some significant developments in our quest to beat "The Boy's" past efforts in the completing the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km in 48 hours.

We have found our fourth member! I would like to introduce Renee (otherwise known as Ben or B5i). Renee is a keen runner and is also crazy enough (or easily influenced) to walk 100kms with the rest of the Moovettes.

So our team has been formed.... finally!

B1: Bridge (short for Bridget)
B3: Bob (short for Kate, or Katherine)
B4v1: Bridge (short for Bridgid)
B5vi: Ben (short for Renee)

For sake of sanity I think we might stick to Bridge, Katherine, Bridge and Renee. I don't quite know how much more this is going to help.

In other news we have had our first training session!

The newly formed Moovettes, plus Kader (Bridgid's four month old puppy), set out from the Tennis Courts at Princess Park in Carlton. We walked around Princess Park three times to identify team dynamics, potential issues and to have a good ol' gossip.

Stats for Saturday 2nd of June, 2007

Practice number: 1
Distance: 9.6 km
Walkers: 4 + dog
Conditions: Pretty good
Time: 1hr 40mins
Speed: averaging between 5-6 kms/hr
Fastest walker: Kader the dog (wanting to smell everything)
Slowest walker: Kader the dog (found something really good to smell)
Topic of conv: Sab splitting his pants at Baretto's the other week (he had underwear on underneath, I have been assured)

Stay tuned to find out the stats of our next practise walk scheduled in a week or so.

Cheerio!
