About the Ads

Believe it or not, the goal of our doing the Oxfam trailwalker challenge is not to walk fast enough to beat the boys' impressive result (87th) from last year. The real goal is to raise money for Oxfam.
To that end, I've added advertising to the sidebar of this page. Any money earned from these ads will be added to our fundraising efforts. According to the adsense rules, I'm not allowed to tell you to click on the ads... so I'm just going to assume that you know that clicking on ads generates money which will go straight to Oxfam.

Stary Night

It was a reasonably mild night for winter, the stars were out and so were the Carlton Footballers, minus Fevola.

Stats for Monday 9th of July, 2007

Practice number: 2
Location: Princess Park
Distance: 9.6 km
Walkers: 4
Conditions: Stary night, a few Carlton Footballers
Time: 1hr 30mins
Speed: averaging between 5-6 kms/hr
Fastest walker: Bob (B3)
Slowest walker: Bridge (B1)
Fastest jogger: Bridge (B1), unable to jog, it's either a walk or run
Fastest talker: Renee.... no more coffee before practise walks
Topic of conv: Was more of a monologue, Renee couldn't shutup.

Topics covered involved food, specifically how many Curly Wurly's Renee had eaten that day. How much Italian food Renee has gotten her boyfriend to eat since they have been together and how to wrestle mini Violet Crumbles out of a grown man's hand.

How we pulled up: Physically, I think we are all still finding our blister spots and potential "nigglies".

Mentally, I think Bob (sitting) needs some help and Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus isn't helping.
