It's Official

Gulp! We faxed off our team registration form on Friday (complete with credit card numbers).... no turning back now.

In honor of this important event we thought it deserved celebrating.... with a walk!

Stats for Sunday 7th of October, 2007

Practice number: 4
Location: Kalista, Grant's Picnic Ground
Distance: 13.5 km
Climbing: over 400m up and over 400m down
Walkers: 5 (Renee was absent and we made up for her conversational skills with Emperor Joshua and Baretto Brig's husband Stu)
Conditions: Beautiful fine day, mild to warm in Sunshine and perfect walking in the shade
Time: 3hrs
Speed: averaging between 3-5 kms/hr
Fastest walker: Emperor Joshua and Stu (show offs!)
Slowest walker: Bridge, Brig and Bob
Topic of conv: Where is the top of this bloody hill! Picture to come including an elevation map (hopefully) of what we walked.

How we pulled up: Physically, I think we realise we have some work ahead of us.
Mentally, I think we are all getting excited. Now that we have walked a section of the trail that we know is moderately difficult the full 100kms doesn't feel insurmountable, just bloody hard.

Stay tuned for information regarding our official team number and Oxfam team webpage. This also means you will all soon be able to donate to our team at Oxfam!

Happy Trails!
