A short training walk

The Moovettes minus Renee went on a short stroll last night - starting at my place, we wandered up Royal Parade, around Royal Park, past the zoo, past the children's hospital and back up to Royal Parade. At that point, Bridge decided we hadn't walked far enough, and we should walk around at least half of Princes Park. She also decided that in order to liven things up a little, and to move and stretch different muscles, we ought to practice our silly walks. Amid cries of protest about having an image to maintain, we walked backwards, kicked our knees up, walked with our hands on our heads and so on. (Not all at once, but we may try that next time.)

All in all, we walked about 8.6 km in an hour and a half. I think the silly walking slowed us down a little, but it did help to loosen up the legs - could be a good strategy along the Warburton trail.

The one low point of the walk was when we (or mostly me) realised that cumulatively we've only walked about half the track in training. We've got a long way to go, literally. We've got a bit of time, too, though.
